We wanted to ensure that the mobile optimised version of the site stayed true to The Health Foundation's established branding whilst making the most of the mobile experience. To this end, custom designs were produced with mobile best practice at the forefront of our thinking.
Clear, accessible, fast and responsive to name a few. The site navigation and layout were completely redesigned with these considerations and a smaller touchscreen in mind. Expert accessibility reviews and feedback provided by Spotless Interactive were also incorporated through the entire process.
Pelorous, the content management system (CMS) behind
health.org.uk, enables both the desktop and mobile versions of the site to sit seamlessly together. The same content feeds into both versions, with the CMS automatically detecting and loading the mobile optimised version to visitors on a smartphone.
