Totally has extensive experience within the third sector and some of our biggest clients have been leading charities including Crisis and The Health Foundation.
Although we have devised the Totally Giving app which is an embedded fundraising page for charities we are always interested in companies providing innovative ways for donors to give.
Social startup Cause Cart is set to revolutionize the way we donate to our favourite charities by donating a percentage of a user's e-commerce purchase to a charity of their choice.
Users simply signup to Cause Cart, install the add on to their Chrome or Firefox browser and can then choose from a range of charities like Happy Hearts Fund or Worldreader. When the user is shopping online with stores like Amazon, the Cause Cart add on is enabled and at least 5% of your money is donated to your chosen charitable cause.
So how does Cause Cart make a profit? Half of the donation you make will go to Cause Cart but if you invite friends to use the platform 80% will go to the charity with only 20% going to Cause Cart.
With Cause Cart set for a full roll out this summer, the founders hope to make charitable giving easier and more practical for users often too time pressed to donate the traditional way.
Would you donate to charity via Cause Cart? Let us know.
